A variety of impactful workshops to help you be well-versed in your finances.

Compass Online Workshops are an easy way to learn the joys of financial faithfulness from the comfort of your home, or any place you can access a live stream from an internet connection. Interact and fellowship with others while you become well-versed in finances.

All that is required is a device with internet access and 60 to 90 minutes of your time. Sign up for as many of the workshops that apply to your financial season of life.

This workshop explores a biblical worldview of how to manage money and possessions. We discover God’s view on debt, spending, saving, giving, planning, and His counsel. These provide a biblical foundation for our financial journey.

This workshop should be taken by everyone that is committed to following God’s principles in all areas of their lives.

Online Workshop

This workshop presents an easy to follow step-by-step plan (Money Map) which takes you through setting up goals and seven destinations on your financial journey. One of the plans we will look at is developing a Spending Plan (Budget) which is vital in completing your financial journey.

This workshop is designed for all stages on your financial journey and is an opportunity to see first-hand how to apply God’s principles to how you manage your money.

Building a Budget

Online Workshop

This workshop presents practical information on building a budget, sometimes referred to as a spending plan.  Two things that are a must are a solid budget and a financial house that is in order. Both must be based on the foundation of the Word of God. 

Learn practical information about the four phases of framing your financial house along with the 4 C’s of developing your budget.  This workshop is designed to be the first step in applying God’s principles of money management.

Online Workshop

This workshop offers practical, biblical principles to common problems couples face.  No matter if you are in the planning stages of your wedding or seasoned veterans, how you deal with money will either divide you as a couple or bring you closer together and closer to the Lord.

You will be introduced to a variety of “Money Dates” that are designed to facilitate discussions, apply biblical principles, and lay the foundation for using money to bring you closer as a couple and strengthen your walk with the Lord.

Debt Freedom

Online Workshop

This workshop looks at debt from the world’s view and then compares it to God’s view of debt. From this perspective and with the understanding that we all will face debt at some point in our lives, we look at how we should deal with debt from both a biblical and practical perspective. This includes a discussion of which type of debts are more discouraged than others from God’s Word.

On the practical side we talk about the factors of acquiring and maintaining debt like credit reports, credit scores, bankruptcy, and debt-to-income ratios.

And then the focus moves to the path to debt freedom and the joys and freedom that being debt free brings to our lives.

Preparing Your Treasures for Eternity

Online Workshop

This workshop is designed to help in the organization of financial matters both from an earthly and eternal perspective. We will discuss attitudes towards our possessions, loved ones, as well as financial decisions for leaving a legacy. On the practical side we will discuss preparation and organization of important documents such as wills, insurances policies and other legal agreements that will affect those who remain in this life after our home-going.

Retirement Workshop

Online Workshop

This workshop looks at the retirement destination on your financial journey and defines it from a biblical perspective. We will look at the different stages of life and retirement and discuss some of the issues surrounding income, spending, debts and even scams you will face now and in retirement. We also discuss estate and legacy planning for those that will be left behind after our home-going.

Whether you are in your 20’s and the beginning of your earning years, Gen X, Gen Y, Baby Boomer near retirement, or actually retired, this workshop will be of great value in understanding and preparing for finishing well.

Personalized Workshops

Online Workshop

Personalized workshops can be presented to any group within your church, school or community by Compass Presenters using Zoom technology. Our 90-minute workshops can be presented independently or combined to create a one-day workshop. The workshops can also be divided over multiple sessions and days. 

Each workshop includes printable handouts and a Compass Presenter. A host will need to be selected by your church/group to set up and introduce the workshop.
