God is moving in Africa!
The International conference attracted people from five continents to Accra, Ghana. What a beautiful outpouring of God’s Spirit on participants coming from more than 16 countries! It was an amazing three—day conference. A revival indeed!
The team was amazed by the steadfast faithfulness of the people of Ghana and their heartfelt call to discipleship. When the invitation was extended to commit to financial discipleship, at least two rows of people lined the front of the room.
We are grateful for the Compass Ghana team for their fruitful work across Africa.

From the Bible, Jesus talks about the Kingdom of God using many illustrations, he would use stories, direct communication, metaphors etc. Jesus is known as the best communicator of all times. His approach inspired the different content that was put together during the conference in Ghana to serve the diverse groups who all needed to hear the same message about finances God’s way.
The three-day conference was bilingual and catered to both English and French speaking participants. Day 1 was as occasion to build capacity of close to over 50 English Speaking Christian leaders who are leaders of Business, Churches, Christian Organisations, Christian school leaders, all attended a capacity building workshop to equip them to multiply what the God of the Universe has to say about Finances.
“Personally, the key highlight is the different groups we will serve as a result of the conference and the hunger they expressed to know more, requires urgency with prayer, what touched me most was a statement that was shared by a participant “ My life will never be the same again and my ministry will never be the same again, I cannot wait to complete the small study and begin the journey to teach others”.
Indeed, the Lord enabled us to reach many people we may not be able to count on. I believe God began a revival in Africa through this conference and especially our leaders from Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Uganda all have begun to train and organise sessions that will draw many to the what the Bible says about money and possessions.
We will not be able to measure the actual numbers of impact, but one thing is for sure. “A movement has begun by the Lord drawing attention to biblical truths about Finances God’s way in Africa and we are supported and encouraged by our brothers in sisters across the continent who were here to serve”.
Beyond the conference, the global leaders had occasions to minister at church reaching not less than a modest approximation of over 1000 people. Only Jesus enabled us to achieve this.

I read this statement of Martin Luther, the Church Reformer sometime ago which says, “There are three conversions necessary: the conversion of the heart, the conversion of the mind, and the conversion of the purse. Of these three, it may well be that we find the conversion of the purse the most difficult.”
“This 3-day Compass Conference in Ghana was an answer to the prayers of many of us and a sign of God’s faithfulness towards the African continent, especially for Francophone Africa, where sound teachings about money God’s way are almost non-existent.” – Conference Attendee
One participant from Togo who is a CEO shared, “These teachings are the answers and solutions to Africa’s political and economic challenges. God has remembered us.”
Thanks to this Conference, I now have the tools and the answers to help and train the youth of my country,” affirmed another participant.
“My congregation and I will never be the same again as we embrace these teachings on finances God’s way,” exploded another Pastor from Burkina Faso, with joy.
“I have transferred the ownership of my company to the Lord and He is now the new Boss. The company is under new management”, said another businessman.
Indeed, the beautiful statements above show how the Conference has challenged Francophone Africa participants and opened the eyes of many participants to understand finances God’s way and to be willing to apply the principles and multiply them. The trainings are continuing already as the Pastor in Burkina Faso, for example, has started with the book, “Your Money Counts”, in training his church every Wednesday.
I am confident that a fire has been set in the hearts of the delegates who came from Francophone Africa during the three-day Conference and generations will remember these three blessed days. To God be all the glory! Great things He has done and greater things He is going to do in Africa through Compass, a blessed financial discipleship ministry.
